COMMUNITY INVOLMENT

Mcdok is a family owned and operated organization who has been in Oklahoma for 30 years spanning two generations! Kathy Lopez-Thorley started working at McDonald’s in 1977 as a crew person. As she learned about the career opportunities, her husband, Rick Thorley, also became involved with McDonald’s. They later became franchisees in Ada, Oklahoma where they have grown their business.

As they created the foundation for their business, the Thorley’s two oldest children and their spouses, Ryan and Amanda Thorley and Gary and Jenifer Mornhinweg, joined their organization. With 21 restaurants across southern Oklahoma, the family and Mcdok is committed to bringing you as a customer, an employee or a community partner the best experience at McDonald’s.

 COMMUNITY IMPACT

OUR ORGANIZATION

Our organization should positively affect the communities our McDonald’s are located. Throughout the year, we provide support and donations to non-profit organizations, schools and local events.

In addition to supporting the local communities, our organization has supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City for 25 years serving as volunteers and board members. Kathy Lopez-Thorley is currently serving on the RMHC of OKC Board of Directors, while Jennifer Mornhinweg has also served as a board member.

As a community partner in more than a dozen towns across southern Oklahoma, the Southern Oklahoma McDonald's Restaurant Group has provided hundreds of job opportunities from first time jobs to long term careers.

Our organization is also proud to support employee's education through Archways to Opportunity, which provides scholarships, tuition support, and English classes. We are proud of the brand and would love for you to join our team.
